I couldn't watch OPTI:Optibiotix selling at 67p the week before launching its revolutionary cholesterol product without buying some.
I turned to my SIPP, where CWR:Ceres Power has done really well for me, buying at 5.52p I sold this morning at 8.41p making £685.48 (48.5%) profit. I still hold 21,099 shares in my ISA so I'm not abandoning them, but I feel there is a lot of potential competition in the fuel cell market, so a little de-risking and taking some profit would be wise.
This liberated over £2,000 so I was able to buy 3,145 OPTI:Optibiotix shares at a staggeringly cheap 67p costing £2,119.10 with commission.
My OPTI:Optibiotix position is now way, way over what I set as my maximum to invest in one company, with 21.3% of my portfolio invested in this share. It's also my Nemesis Share, losing £1,664.67 but it's my favourite share, just because the potential is so utterly staggering that I can't envisage a scenario where it doesn't become huge.
The products are backed by scientific research and real-life trials, there is IP that nobody has found a way to break, there are massive multi-national companies queuing up to partner, there are free shares in SBTX:SkinBiotherapeutics about to be dished out, a huge cholesterol-reducing ingredient is about to be released to the masses next week, SweetBiotix is gearing up for launch at the end of the year and could end up in every fizzy drink, Slimbiome is selling well despite no advertising and at some point is likely to be taken up by SlimFast, and Steve O'Hara the CEO has a proven track record of creating successful companies, and has recruited a top-notch team to commercialise the products.
Yet the share price has plummeted to 67p - what on earth is going on?
Let's see what happens next week...
