Week 576 Review - Fantastic week for the SIPP thanks to gold rally.

A great week thanks to the gold miners, with the deficit between cost and value improving by £3,630 to £146,127 and the deficit between injection and value reducing to £55,966. Total portfolio value increased to £132,522.

Worst performer was AMP:Ampeak Energy, which dropped 8%. I think that was profit taking after a spike last week. My holding is still 69% down.

If JLP:Jubilee Metals had stayed flat this would have been an even better week, but it fell 8% and dented my gains.

POLR:Polar Capital fell 7% for no obvious reason.

INVP:Investec dropped 6% but most of that was from going ex-dividend.

SBTX:SkinBioTherapeutics drifted another 5% lower after no news.

CORE:Solidcore Resources climbed 6% so my holding is now 49% down. I can't actually sell them, but it gives me hope they'll eventually resume paying a dividend and maybe re-list on the London stock market.

ATYM:Atalya Mining climbed 7% and are pretty much back at the level they were before the placing, with my holding 13% up and making £559 potential profit.

RIO:Rio Tinto went up 8% and my holding is now up by 38% and making £868 potential profit.

PAGE:Michael Page seems to be recovering and climbed another 9% this week. My holding is still down by 56% and I can't average down as it has fallen out of my top 50 ranking. I may get an opportunity to sell if this momentum continues.

GGP:Greatland Resources went up 11% putting my recent holding at 16% up with £165 potential profit, and my older holding up by 70% making £2,407 potential profit.

FRES:Fresnillo climbed 12% but my holding is still down by 12% so I need the same again next week.

PBX:Probiotix Health went up 13% which allowed my small SIPP holding to go into profit, and I sold it as it doesn't qualify for being held in my SIPP, as it's not a magic formula share. I wish I had the chance to offload the other ineligible shares in my SIPP, but they are a long way from getting back into profit.

EDV:Endeavour Mining went up 15% so my holding is now 23% up with £981 potential profit.

PAF:Pan African Resources zoomed up 26% putting my recent smaller holding up by 17% with £250 potential profit, and my original holding up by 346% making £4,786 potential profit.

THX:Thor Explorations had been really frustrating as I couldn't understand the huge drop, but this week they also went up 26% and my holding is now only 17% down.

Share of the Week is KNOS:Kainos Group, which rocketed up by 33% after stating profits would exceed expectations. That took my holding up by 43% and making £492 potential profit.

Not a great week for the ISA due to the 8% drop in JLP:Jubilee Metals and also drops for SBTX:SkinBioTherapeutics, IES:Invinity Energy and AMRQ:Amaroq. I don't understand how most of my gold miners were in double digit rises, but AMRQ dropped in value. IES and AMRQ are my 2 profitable shares, so potential profits dropped by £65.

It's been pretty flat for a long time now.

Still a fraction above the trend line.

I sold my small holding of 6,068 shares in PBX:Probiotix Health at 9,7775p and made £98:00 (19.7%) profit. I was planning to keep the cash to use for monthly investments, but when AMRQ:Amaroq dropped in price despite the price of gold rocketing, and with the potential for being added to FTSE indices next month, I decided to buy as many as I could. I bought 736 shares in my AJ Bell account at 103.2388p costing £764.84 and I also added £300 to my Hargreaves Lansdown account and bought 465 at 103.23p costing £486.97. I'll be a bit sad if they don't rally next week to catch up the other gold miners.

Portfolio value went up a healthy £4,147, of which £3,096 was increased potential profits. I didn't receive any dividend payments.

I do believe we're just about touching the injection line!

A healthy gap above the trend line, but in the past that has been very short lived. Will this time be any different?

It's time to re-calculate my magic formula rankings, so I'm hoping some of my existing profitable holdings will have dropped out of the top 50 so I can sell them and bring some new blood into the portfolio. I just need to find time to crunch all the numbers.

Week 575 Review - Jubilee Metals helps us have a positive week, otherwise flat.

Not a bad week. It was largely flat, but an increase in JLP:Jubilee Metals helped it into the black. The deficit between cost and value narrowed by £1,861 to £149,757 and the deficit between injection and value reduced to £59,731. Total portfolio value increased to £128,457.

Worst performer was SBTX:SkinBioTherapeutics which dropped 14% and will likely drift until there is news.

DXRX:Diaceutics and RIO:Rio Tinto both dropped 6% for no obvious reason.

YU.:Yu Group fell 5%.

POLR:Polar Capital climbed 5%.

IES:Invinity Energy and PBX:Probiotix Health both zoomed up 14%.

Share of the Week is AMP:Ampeak Energy, which went up 24% but I don't know why. My holding is still 67% down so no imminent hope of getting rid.

Most of the £991 was thanks to a modest rise in JLP:Jubilee Metals, and IES:Invinity Energy helped potential profits rise by £39.

Is that a slight rise I see?

Slowly launching above the trend line.

I had a lovely £104 dividend from POLR:Polar Capital, reminding me why I hold them, a less lovely £7 from SOI:Schroder Oriental Income, and £35 from THX:Thor Explorations.

It was monthly investment time, so I bought another 37 shares in BPM:BP Marsh & Partners at 675p costing £249.75 and I bought 14 shares in YU.:Yu Group at 1750p costing £245.00.

A relatively small £870 rise in value, but a £82 drop in potential profits.

The injection line is tantalisingly close.

Still above the trend line, but only just.

This was my last holiday snapshot, so all caught up now. Glad that I was in a better position after the holiday than I was before it.

Week 574 Review - The best week for ages in my SIPP.

An absolutely brilliant week, with strong recoveries for gold miners but also lots of other stocks too. The deficit between cost and value narrowed by £5,446 to £151,619 and the deficit between injection and value reduced to £61,684. Total portfolio value rose to £126,255

Worst performer by miles was TRU:Trufin, which dropped 28%. However, it's kind of a nice drop as it went ex-dividend for a gigantic special dividend. If I had spare cash in my ISA I'd be buying more of these before they return to their pre-dividend price.

FDM:FDM Group dropped 9% and are now 66% down.

RDT:Rosslyn Data dropped 6% and are 85% down so soon I won't have to report on them as they'll officially be a basket case.

AMP:Ampeak Energy drifted down 5%.

N91:Ninety One and RIO:Rio Tinto both went up 5%.

DXRX:Diaceutics, HPOW:H-Power, KNOS:Kainos Group and RSW:Renishaw all went up 6%.

CORE:Solidcore Resources and JHD:James Halstead went up 7%.

ASHM:Ashmore Group, FSG:Foresight Group Holdings, PAGE:Michael Page and W7L:Warpaint London went up 8%.

THX:Thor Explorations climbed 9%.

MSI:MS International went up 10%.

POLR:Polar Capital increased by 12%.

EDV:Endeavour Mining went up 15%.

FRES:Fresnillo went up 16%.

FOUR:4imprint and PAF:Pan African Resources both went up 18%.

Share of the Week is GGP:Greatland Resources which zoomed up an amazing 25% so even my recent purchase went 4% into profit.

I had a £16 dividend from GAW:Games Workshop, £39 from N91:NinetyOne, and £28 from TAM:Tatton Asset Management.

Portfolio value zoomed up by £5,259 and £3,669 of that was increased potential profit.

Reaching for the injection line.

Above the trend line once more!

I was still on holiday so still catching up.

Week 573 Review - Pretty flat - ISA up, but SIPP down more.

A pretty flat week, but ended up in the red, with the deficit between cost and value expanding by £357 to £157,066 and the deficit between injection and value increasing to £67,253. Total portfolio value fell to £120,685.

I was on holiday and was able to take weekly snapshots, but can't remember why anything happened so the next bit will be brief.

Worst performer was POLR:Polar Capital, which dropped a huge 13%. It may have gone ex-dividend as one was paid recently.

AMP:Ampeak Energy dropped 12% and IES:Invinity Energy dropped 7%.

THX:Thor Explorations dropped 7% and GGP:Greatland Resources dropped 5% as the gold miners were mostly flat.

RSW:Renishaw went down 5%.

FOUR:4imprint climbed 5% and went 1% into potential profit.

III:3i Group also went up 5% but is still 6% down.

KNOS:Kainos Group climbed 6% and is now up by 12%.

AMRQ:Amaroq defied the other gold miners and climbed 9% to go 12% up in my ISA.

W7L:Warpaint London remains volatile and went up 11% but my holding is still 14% down.

Share of the Week was DXRX:Diaceutics which zoomed up 12% but is still 16% down.

Still flat and well below the injection line.

Dragging the tend line downwards.

Nothing more to say as I have another 2 weeks of holiday snapshots to write.
